24th March 2026

INclusion Award for Bankside College

Bankside was awarded INclusive Worcestershire Leader status. The certificate was presented to John Colclough by Judy Gibbs from Worcestershire Growth Hub.

Over recent months, we completed the application process to demonstrate our commitment to inclusive employment, with support from Worcestershire Growth Hub and the Local Chamber of Commerce. The initiative, led by the Worcestershire LEP, Growth Hub and County Council, recognises organisations that promote inclusive workplace practices and foster a culture of understanding, respect and acceptance.

Worcestershire continues to lead the way in inclusive employment. When speaking with employers about work experience for our students, it’s clear how highly they value inclusivity and meaningful opportunities.

This award gives Bankside access to like‑minded employers, work experience opportunities, workplace tours, inclusion updates, regular events and a platform to raise awareness of our work.
